Government probes unprecedented wave of WhatsApp Business account takeovers

ICT Minister Tatenda Mavetera confirmed a coordinated POTRAZ, ZRP Cyber Crime Division and Meta investigation into a large-scale wave of hijacked WhatsApp Business and Meta accounts affecting Zimbabwean businesses and citizens. Businesses are urged to enable extra account security and report suspicious takeovers immediately.
